Perpetuating the fruit-growing tradition of the estate, Bernard Maurel wanted Château d’Astros to be the perfect setting for nature lovers along with the whole family to enjoy. At the end of August, over 10,000 apples trees of some ten or so different varieties (Reine des Reinette, Early Red One, Starking, Golden, Idared, Reinette Belchard, Granny Smith, Pinova, Reinette Grise et Black Stayman) offer up their ripe, juicy fruit to the hands of apple loving visitors.
